Orchid
This project was based on the feelings of a song. In collaboration with Madeline Hampton and me, we wanted this project to feel like a darkly seductive atmosphere. Using pieces from my sophomore year we brought these emotions to life for our project, Orchid. When shooting we found a frozen like with beautiful dead trees sticking out from the frozen lake we jumped at the opportunity to shoot on this time-sensitive ice.
The garment itself is a multipaneled fully unlined jacket made of a wool polyester blend along with a hat made from the same material. With an elongated skirt.

Draped then created a custom pattern based on the model’s dimensions. The original had a single sleeve but later was decided it looked better with none. The shoot was orchestrated by myself and Madeline Hampton on a frozen all assets in the photo are indeed real.
